Thank you and great work to these members, you are part of the solution to building this community back to how it has always been, great. We commend you on your hard work and dedication to the cause and this community.
For generations now big businesses and companies have made a killing on child minded inventions. Some of these inventions are gaming goggles, wax cube warmers, fidget spinners, etc. Today I'm here to talk about gaming chairs. Is it just an ordinary computer chair with some kind of different fabric, is it really going to help improve the way you game? The chairs run anywhere from $59 to over $599. Don't get me wrong they look insane and extremely comfortable. But I ask you KSI is it worth the hard earned money that you make?
First off I would like to talk about some of the different Gaming chairs available. There is the Vertagear racing Series SL4000 which is used by some YouTube stars and twitch streamers. It's known to have very firm cushions and it also has nine different colors you can choose from. The only down side to the product is that it costs $339.99
Next we have the DXRacer formula series. It's another chair known to be used by twitch streamers. It looks awesome and comes in yellow, green, orange, or coffee. It price is a little on the steep side at $299. It has racing stripes and in my opinion is the best looking game chair out there.
Last but not least we have the furmax ergonomic racing chair witch is a lot cheaper then the first two. It sells for $66 and apparently makes a great office chair as well as a gaming chair. It comes in several colors, and like I said it's cheaper. So I ask you KSI what is your opinion on these cool but also expensive chairs? Will they improve your gaming or improve your room?
Knowledge, Strength, Integrity.
These are the traits and qualities we look for in our members, to develop them further, and to construct a community together. It is about more than just gaming. For nearly 15 years, we have aimed to build upon life skills, technical abilities, and lifelong friendships.
Leadership is important, but even more than that, KSI is about teamwork. Conflict resolution, understanding different ideals and motivations, and setting aside differences for a common goal are all essential to the efforts we put forth to build our squads, divisions, and departments. Members develop incredible team-building and leadership abilities through the efforts they put into making KSI the long-lasting community it has become.
There are several opportunities for members to learn new technical skills as well. KSI offers the chance to take part in our various web operations departments to learn journalism, graphic design, video editing, and more. Members voluntarily dedicate their time to learning these skills and teaching others to better their abilities and explore their options. These chances to try something new and master a skill have resulted in revealing new hobbies and even career paths for KSI members.
We strive to uphold a work hard, play hard mentality. When building with other people, seeing the resulting efforts being a creation previously undreamt of, strong bonds are formed between people. These ties become friendships that can last for decades, as many KSI members can attest to. The community becomes something guaranteed that people can fall back on and know that they have the support of someone, whether that member is in the next town over or across the ocean.
KSI is, and always will be, a community by gamers, for gamers.
Congratulations to the July 2017 of the Month Winners! For those who did not win, keep up the great work and keep pushing towards being a winner in August.

Call of Duty WWII: the Revival or the Destruction?
By: KSI Biddulph 7
Throughout the last decade, many gamers agree on one thing in particular; Call of Duty is going down hill and at a rapid pace. Will returning to the roots of Call of Duty be the solution for the gaming franchise needs? Many veteran Call of Duty gamers are rejoicing and for good reason. Call of Duty WWII may be the solution to reviving the long-standing Call of Duty franchise and bringing the franchise back to its former glory.
The most recent installments in the Call of Duty franchise always gave gamers a new gaming experience, but the games themselves never innovated upon themselves. Gamers always received the same thing in each title; a decent Campaign, wall running and double jumping in multiplayer, typical zombies, and a pay to play attitude. Now, ever since the announcement at E3, the series is set to see many new significant changes, overhauls, and innovations.
The campaign in Call of Duty WWII is obviously set in World War II, the second great war that the world saw. The main character in this action packed story is Private Red Daniels, a teenager that is thrown into the US 1st Infantry Division and made to live the horrific events that occurred in Europe during WWII. Based off the trailer released at E3, the story seems to start at Operation Overlord (also known as D-Day), a major and significant battle that occurred on June 6, 1944, that saw allied forces land on beaches along a heavily fortified Normandy coastline.
Even though the Call of Duty games are not known for their campaigns, gamers might notice a difference in this particular campaign due to the nature of WWII. Since the campaign's trailer was released, many gamers have noticed that it seems like the campaign is based on companionship and brotherhood. Expect to see heartfelt, tear jerking, and shivers down your spine moments in this story.
Also, Activision has promised that Call of Duty WWII’s campaign will revisit “"iconic World War II battles" throughout its story, from the anarchic events of D-Day at Normandy to the long and brutal battles at Hürtgen Forest.”
Multiplayer is one of the most important features in a Call of Duty game due to the mass number of gamers who play it. Over the last few titles released, many gamers have been in disagreement with the direction that multiplayer has been going in. Therefore, Activision has decided to do a complete turnaround, and make many new implementations on the core foundation of Call of Duty’s multiplayer.
One of the newest innovations is being called “War Mode,” which “brings a gripping new layer of excitement to Axis vs Allies team play." Essentially, it adds context to conflicts. Another change in Call of Duty WWII is the change in the “create a class” system, which is now titled the new “Division system.” It changes the way load-outs work, with the removal of “finely tweaking your own personal loadout” and adds pre-made divisions (classes). There are an expected five divisions to be available during launch, and every division bringing their own personal play style to the field. The 5 divisions are:
Infantry is a traditional front-lines soldier, packing a semi-automatic rifle and self-loading pistol.
Expeditionary is an aggressive scout class, best suited for when situations get up close and personal.
Airborne soldiers gain access to a submachine gun with an optional suppressor, allowing for a more strategic and tactical angle to gameplay.
Armored is a tank class, with heavy weapons, heavy armor, and unrivaled power.
Mountain is the long-range class of Call of Duty.
Alongside the new gameplay options, Call of Duty WWII will also have a new “social space,” providing a central hub for multiplayer. It allows players to customize, interact with other gamers, and other soon to be announced features. It is similar to the way Destiny’s multiplayer is configured.
Call of Duty WWII will also feature the return of Nazi Zombies, one of the most beloved game modes in Call of Duty. Not much has been released on the game mode, but from the reveal trailer itself, it looks more terrifying than previous installments.
Call of Duty WWII is set to release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on November 3rd, 2017. You can pre-order both physical and digital copies of the game currently, with three different pre-order options. The Standard Edition, Pro Edition, and the Digital Deluxe Edition. Those who pre-order Call of Duty WWII will also be able to participate in the private beta on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Xbox’s New Controller Lineup
Starting August 3rd, the need to purchase a 3rd party Xbox One controller will disappear into the far reaches of gaming purgatory, thanks to the recent release of the new Xbox One controller lineup.
Over the last few weeks, the company has displayed three new controllers, with all three being compatible with the Xbox One family, and all three being respectfully different. The most basic looking controller is colored in a light two tone gray design, with green accents at the base of the two joysticks, and will cost $64.99 USD. The second one is labeled as the “Volcano Shadow,” which is a special edition to the “Shadow Series,” another series of controllers. The controller features a black matte top and a red metallic finish lining the bottom of the controller’s face. This controller will cost $69.99, relatively the same as the first controller. Both of the controllers will be made available on 9/5/2017.
Alongside the two new controllers, a third, more advanced controller also has been announced and expected to be available on 9/26/2017. The new Xbox Patrol Tech Special Edition controller will be the newest addition to the Tech controller series. Xbox has been quoted to have said the controller is, “inspired by military technology and performance patterns found in airborne navy patrol units." The Patrol Tech Special edition will be released with a “laser-etched texture and rubberized back grip.” Similar to most Xbox One controllers, it’ll have a 3.5mm headphone jack for headphones, but will feature improved wireless and Bluetooth range, and full button remapping which can be done through the Xbox Accessories app, which is available on Xbox One.
Surprisingly, the controller only will cost $69.99 USD. Microsoft also added it will be selling the controller bundled with a cable for windows for the same price which will be available on October 17th. Essentially, the controller will be the cheaper version of its predecessor, the Xbox One Elite controller, which will set gamers back around $149.99 USD.

Welcome KSI's Newest Moderators!
By Jay Fox
Becoming a KSI Moderator is a huge deal and a truly rare occasion. When it happens, it’s a big team effort to pick the most qualified member to become a Moderator. On 8/2/17 the KSI forums staff and Administration brought three new Moderators to the team: KSI Bizarre KSI Achilles 7, and KSI Airborn 7 are the newest additions to join the forums staff. As well as brining in a new Global Moderator KSI Mizz Airy, who just stepped down from her reign as Co-Head of the Department of Web Operations.
From all of KSI, congratulations on your new roles in KSI and we wish you the best of luck in your new endeavor!
It's almost time for it to be released, September 19th is the day.
Some things to know if you pre-order, you get the special early tip-off edition which will get you:
10 weekly my team packs.
Something that comes to my attention is that NBA 2K18 might be hard for some to buy, due to the fact that Kyrie Irving (The cover player) might not even be in a Cavaliers jersey next season. Being the cover athlete might be the only way we get to see kyrie in a cavaliers jersey other than highlights.
My player is going to get a better career mode. My team is getting much needed updates and becoming more appealing to everyone.
Something that is being rumored is that NBA 2K18 is getting rid of the MyPark part of the game. Personally I never enjoyed MyPark. I know some friends who are really heart broken by this, but as of right now we don't really know till the game is available for everyone. Until September 19th comes we are stuck waiting and wondering
By the time this game comes out they'll have to make a roster update with all the free agent signings as well as all the trades that have happened. The outcome will look completely different, roster wise, by the time the game is released.

I try to maintain composure in front of others, most of the time. But there are times, entirely too many, where I hit a breaking point. When something happens that just eats away at me and leaves me wondering "What am I doing wrong?" I've had a lot of those lately.
But when it comes to those times, those despairing thoughts that won't go away, I've found that there are friends - hundreds or even thousands of miles away - who will help it sting a little less. Even if that means them telling me to get on Destiny and go kill some aliens with them to think about it a little less. Or just sitting in a party for 3 hours and talking it out with me. Or getting me to get up and go do a workout to rid some of the stress.
Lost Empire has been a blessing. Half of the members came from broken divisions, feeling defeated or angry. Together, we have risen up to the challenges presented. There is no shortage of members willing to reach out to one another when they are feeling upset, depressed or hurt. We make it a point to let it be known to speak up to someone, to anyone, in the event it gets to be too much.
It doesn't always work... We lost a member recently. Before sitting down to write this, I looked at his picture, his screenshots, the last things he wrote in our server, then I spent 20 minutes sitting on the floor of my room, crying. Not because I was especially close to him. But because now I never will be - no one else will be. I feel like I failed him.
Life is entirely too short already. Don't help it along to the end. Say something. If someone doesn't listen, say it again to someone else. I have been in that seemingly never ending black hole. All it can take sometimes is one lifeline. Just one person to say, "You are so brave. Every day that you get up to face the next one, you are strong, and you are brave." Whether that person is right next to you or is a voice over the headset, you're never alone.
The Effect of Destiny 2 and CoD WW2 on KSI.
Success, or failure. It could go many ways. It could spread like a wild fire, and be really good for the community or it could be disastrous for the community.
We get the best of both worlds with both of these games, both are supposed to be great and could turn out to be legendary.
Call of Duty goes back to its roots with boots on the ground while Destiny 2 gives us what we should of seen in Destiny 1 but with greatly improved graphics and many more options and gameplay modes to choose from.
The ending is unknown. We don't know how this will effect community aspects such as recruiting and gameplay. How will we improve if the game does not take off immediately.
We have experience building in both game types and can continue to build even if the game does not take off. We can bring in old school Call of Duty fans who we haven't seen in a long time due to the newer Call of Duty's being futuristic. Hopefully Bungie will be successful as they almost always are and Destiny 2 will be a great game. Now some answers to a few of these questions.
How will KSI stand with all these new games coming out?
I believe KSI is going to continue to flourish no matter what happens. KSI has seen many games come out that could have potentially ended very bad and ended up not affecting us. KSI will continue to build off the hype and move forward into the future and see things happen that haven't been in a very long time, such as us reaching 5000 members. I also believe we will see a great increase in division splits and more rapidly growing divisions. We have very well trained leaders that are better then they have been in years. We are much stronger then we were in the past few years. I believe KSI will flourish like a wild fire. We will finally be able to enjoy CoD again with big squads and great leaders.
Destiny will be what we learned to love when everything else failed around us. What we flocked to when nothing else around us was working. The planets, universes we saw together, and people we saved. Do I believe it'll end badly for the community?
No, KSI is built to keep moving forward no matter what happens. It is built on building friendships, relationships, and most importantly to game with others. With that I don't see KSI falling anytime soon my friends.
Finally I almost cried watching this video. Can't wait.
Caste theatre CoD WW2 song
Mouth watering awesomeness.

Overwatch’s Latest Hero Coming July 27th
Blizzard Entertainment announced that Overwatch, popular FPS, has a release date for its latest hero.
This hero has been in the Public Test Region (PTR) for some time, but will officially drop on PC, Xbox One, and PS4, on July 27th.
Meet Doomfist; a character who has been in the game since the beginning. Remember that cinematic with “Doomfist’s Gauntlet" at the onset of OW? Yup, that’s the same person. Blizzard Entertainment finally made the jump to put this character in.
Designed for melee-based combat, fans will surely have fun pummeling their foes to the ground and watching the bodies hit the walls, with Doomfist.
A unique ultimate ability makes up for his restricted movement. When activated it allows Doomfist to reposition himself on the map, possibly getting the jump on the enemy.
According to Blizzard Entertainment, Doomfist's character has a mentality of honor and strength.
“Humanity is forged in battle. To evolve we must be tested” - Doomfist

HELP! AYUDAME AYUDAME! HELP ME! Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it that is what the KSI leadership is here for.
Everyone knows that being a leader, whether it's an officer, general, or higher position, can be very stressful. Even the privates, corporals, and sergeants can feel a little stress from KSI. What I would like to share is that stress you feel over the community is actually a good thing. It means you care about what happens to the community, to your squad, and to your division. So what feels terrible is actually great, in an odd way.
Stress itself is never good. That is why I stress to talk to others when you feel it. We are all around to help each other out. Some helpful tips: *Do not make rash decisions when stressed out, you need a clear mind. *Take things one step at a time to release the amount of stress build up *Organize your week out ahead of time. Organize out when the meetings, game nights, and other possible events for that week. So you can visibly see if your over-doing yourself, or how they would say "Stretching yourself thin". Everyone understands each other here. So look into building a friendship around and build support around you so you will always have someone to go to. If it is personal you will know who is there for you and will even be able to vent to them. A few leadership members that are known for being there to listen are KSI Hucklberry, KSI Mizz Airy, and KSI ZeusWrath. I am sure there are more, but those a 3 noteworthy listeners. Here in KSI, we all strive to do the best that we can. That means there will always be hurdles. It is how you choose to handle them. Always look to others in a great time of need.
This award is one of the very few which are given only at the discretion of senior leadership of KSI to those who have provided an incredible long-lasting contribution to the community. It is a coveted award, not handed out by self-nomination or even by nomination from other members. Today we have the pleasure of announcing a new recipient of this classic award.
KSI Mr Miagi first joined KSI in Empire RD in November 2015. He rejoined into Darkness TR September 2016 and was a key part of building the first Destiny squad to execute a successful split. Not long after, it was mentioned that the Clan Management System admins could use help with coding, and Mr Miagi volunteered for the extra responsibility. Within six months, he redesigned the somewhat broken CMS, fixing and improving on features with assistance from KSI DoubleOh 7 and input from other community leaders.
His efforts resulted in the launch of the new CMS in June of 2017, and the difference has already been recognizable. Squads are better accounted for, displays are simpler to see at a glance, and administration functions have improved significantly. For this selfless volunteered dedication, senior leadership has seen fit to award KSI Mr Miagi with the Outstanding Service award.
Congratulations @KSI Mr Miagi!

When I first met you, I didn’t know what to think. I had been on Xbox Live since Call of Duty 3 and never thought of joining a clan before. I had 5 friends who I gamed with every day; we were COD Pubstompers and were content with getting on and immediately disappearing into a party together for hours each day. I received messages throughout the years - DHG, XGC, a slew of small upstarts. At the time, I was settled in my place with the friends I had.
As time went on, my friends’ schedules changed. Some of them got off way too early for my work schedule, and I found myself riding solo a lot until I was hit up by a KSI member on Modern Warfare 2 who sent me a similar generic message post game. I’d dismissed the idea in the past, but there I was in a position where my routine had been disrupted and figured maybe it was time to try something new. I sent him a message back, joined a party and went through the recruitment process.
I was placed in Ancient Armada, Sigma Squad. I met a few people here and there but stayed close with my recruiter. He was a good talker, knew a lot about KSI and had this motivational knack to him. I stayed for about 6-7 months then had my final year at University to deal with. I heard a lot of stuff happened a few months after I left so I figured when the time was right I would rejoin you. That took about 2 years to happen, during which I dabbled a bit in a smaller clan before being prompted to rejoin you with my initial recruiter.
We had just reopened a division AD (After Death), and I was put in Oblivion as a Sergeant to start, which quickly turned to Lieutenant 2 weeks later after I had shaken off my rust. From there, I was pushed to General after the loss of our entire officer staff. With no idea what I was doing initially, I used communication, asked questions, and had a sense of pride in succeeding that quickly showed me that the possibility of being a leader here was real. When I joined, I thought I would never reach that echelon…this place was “too big and too vast to notice me”.
I had a lot of time on my hands while I was recovering from some problems and limited to my house for at least 2 months. You kept me distracted, gave me a home, gave me redemption in a sense that traveled into my real life. I chose to pursue that “impossible task” I felt was at hand. That motivation made me want to learn as much as I possibly could, not just from leaders, but from members that I interacted with daily. I stayed passionate about what I learned from rebuilding that squad, and I tried to make sure everyone mattered below me. Soon I was travelling upward to Founder, Co-Division Leader, Division Leader. I poured my heart into this place and truly felt like I was making a difference, teaching people to find potential they never knew existed. I made my goal to show everyone I encountered just how amazing you have been to me.
I’ve found myself on the wrong side of people’s pasts, found adversity since the moment I felt the pressure of a squad that needed me to succeed. I found those impossible ranks and none of it was easy, I was judged by who recruited me, I was underestimated on a consistent basis…I still am. By people that lost their purpose here years ago, people that left and let power, rank, influence corrupt the true meaning behind why we do this. I never let it stop me, I never once let myself see the point of view of those people. I stayed true to you and the people that inhabit this place, I have peers that encourage me and see how much I care.
I promise you that no title or rank here will ever turn me away from the purpose of holding it, and I am sure every Senior Leader of this community can attest to the same. Education will always come before politics, and the members will always supersede my personal feelings. People count on me every day to teach them new things, show them the road I took to be who I am now…and I promise you I won’t let them down. That no matter what I am labeled, how am I judged or what is assumed of me that you will know, the members will know and I will know that I never stopped being that General who thought it was impossible to ever be noticed here. It makes me respect the titles I hold, makes me realize that the fabric of what this place is will always be bigger than myself. Even if I make mistakes, I will never hide behind them, you deserve better than that.
Thank you, KSI, for helping me see a purpose on this console that most people consider purposeless. Thank you for keeping me distracted during rough times in my life and showing me that “impossible” is just a formality. Thank you for the people who loved you enough to stay here and teach me what they know, regardless of their pasts. Thank you for reminding me each day that even if people don’t understand now, they will if I keep trying. For keeping me humble, giving me the opportunities I’ve had to make a change. Finally, thank you for the retractors over the years, for situations that seemed too severe to overcome…they have only made me stronger. I’ll never give up on you…because you never gave up on me, no matter how “big or vast” you got.

Talking Like A Team
By: KSI ZEUSWRATH
News Team Writer
Effective communication is at the heart of most issues within KSI. Often we misunderstand each other more than we disagree.
Communication is not a easy skill. Most people believe that simple conversations can communicate enough; that is a common misunderstanding. Communication is something we all can do whether it's through talking or body language. Effective communication is how well others understand you. When a member realizes how passionate and serious you are about what you do here in KSI they will most likely want to be that passionate and know as much as you one day.
We as members and leaders have to watch how we send and receive intel. Don't listen to someone and think about what to say next, but think more about the message you received and then act on it. Squad leaders, division staff, and upper leadership need to understand the feelings of others and use that to push them in the right direction.
Team building and Effective Communication are crucial. There is no team without communication. Every member needs to take an initiative in communication. When a team is not actively communicating their activity and growth is at stake. Good team work starts with a shared understanding of communication and it's importance, bridges team together, and needs to be practiced to ensure a team is working effectively.
When communication channels in a team are properly established and information flows easily between teammates, then that increases the ability of the officer staff to interact and for team members to learn how to interact more efficiently with each other to perform their job duties. This also gives them the ability to understand the strengths and weaknesses of each teammate.
If Lieutenants agreed on a date to go recruiting and they have a couple of Sergeants involved or spectating, maybe even try hands-on training. One would enjoy it way better than recruiting alone, and this also boosts communication and lowers ranking involvement.
Build your squad into your family and have them incorporate new members with the same thinking. Members love seeing, finding, observing, etc. productivity from the start and when they see a common direction, routine, and 'consistency' it's easy for them to climb aboard with KSI.

Through the years KSI Global has changed in many ways, including size and shape. KSI was created in April of 2003 by Syrus, Deadmeat, and Natas (Se7en). From April of 2003 till 2007 KSI went through a lot of challenges adapting to the gaming world. These changes helped build KSI and its leaders into the greatest gaming community on any platform. The reaches of KSI have not only helped gamers better themselves in game, but also better themselves as leaders. I interviewed a few members of KSI who have been here for a while and have seen the changes first hand. Here is what I got out of it:
Interview with KSI Koda 7
Airborn: How was KSI different in terms of clan operations and how divisions were ran from when you first joined till now?
Koda: “KSI has changed drastically over the years. When I joined KSI originally, it had a back-end infrastructure to support it. We utilized the forums for off-the-xbox chatting and discussion, and we utilized in-game clan battle features. The organization that was on Halo 2 was key. The support of clan battles within Halo 2, and the competitiveness between clans was really what allowed KSI to grow to the massive numbers it had. In-Game support allowed squads & divisions to be clearly defined across the game. Microsoft didn't jump on the "clan" feature, and ultimately, it was a letdown to communities like us, H20, PMS, MoB, XGN, XGC and the like. We were forced to adapt with Friends of Friends lists and other "outside the box" features. But that's just the technical side of it. Even more of a change is the behavioral side of the clan operations. Previously, the community ran with a sense of "respect" and "honor". Our members were proud to be a part of the community, and proud to be involved in something larger than themselves. They enjoyed going out every evening and bringing new people into their world, Their corner of the gaming globe. We respected those above us, we respected our peers, and we respected those below us. But where I look now, some of that sense of respect has been lost.”
Airborn: How has the leadership and the leadership ranks changed over time?
Koda: “KSI's leadership has changed over the years. We've moved from the old-school leadership that has been here from the beginning to a newer modern leadership with newer faces. In-between there were some hiccups and some speed bumps, but we seem to be doing pretty well. Back in the older days, there were a lot more ranks in the upper leadership. For example, we had Director, Senior Director, Co-Creator, Creator, Board Member. All of these folks were "Chiefs" of KSI. I'm glad we've somewhat gotten away from that because now we seem to have "Senior Director" as our top rank overseen by two folks, Game and BT. This evens out the ratio of "Chiefs vs Indians" and allows for sound decisions to be made and disseminated.”
Airborn: What old school leaders are still around and active?
Koda: “Well, from back in the day, there aren't too many of the old dogs still in leadership. There are a handful of older leaders here but a lot of them are either working their way back up, or enjoying the rank they're at.”
Airborn: Last question, how can you best describe the status of KSI now from what it was in the late 2000s?
Koda: “The status of KSI now versus back in the late 2000's is growing. Recovering. We took a pretty decent hit back in 2008 and again in 2011 when both United and Fuzzymeep's KSI communities split from us. What appeared to have been the end of this group turned out to just be a learning experience. We persevered, and we still come back strong. We may not be at the numbers when we were all one, but we are still one family. Even the other folks (Fuzzy's and United), we're still one family. We may not live in the same house anymore, and we may hate each other's guts from time to time, but we're still one family with the same name. K.S.I. Not many people think that way, but I hope in time we come to terms with all of us and agree to move back together for a common cause.”
In an Interview with Nex Addo
Airborn: When you first joined KSI, how was Clan Operations run?
Nex: “When I first joined ClanOPS it was pretty much ran the same way. Not much of a difference just more divisions, more directors, more of a lot of things going on.”
Airborn: How were the leadership positions organized?
Nex: “My memory is fuzzy and since I left ClanOps after a time it changed a few times. So as best as possible it was a joint union with senior leader ship and possible board of directors.”
Airborn: Looking back do you wish that KSI back in the day had an actual Web Operations department like we do now?
Nex: “Today we have a organized system of checks and balances. With myself making decisions only in the web departments with huge changes going with me and it then forums changes like how admins work and such to the admins and ClanOps I work with BT and the seniors. Of course though jazz is a huge part. So in the long run I love how it is ran now even if I was not here and retired end of the end of the year so. No do I wish it were different back then? Unsure since so many changes were being made and I was left to my own device in the past. I wasn’t bothered much and as long as I was successful then it was fine. Since WebOps has gotten together and talked and kept in communication I think it has done much better.”
Airborn: Last question, How do you think the current Web Operations department would have helped or hurt KSI back then?
Nex: “I think Web Operations is a huge thing that helps KSI Global. Gives us the opportunity to reach new and amazing horizons. We have potential to work with partners, goals, and events. I think WebOps has always been good even if there have been issues out of it.”
As you have heard from these longtime KSI members, KSI is always going through changes and thats what makes us the greatest Gaming Community ever on any console.
Charity Stream Shout Outs and Special Thanks from N3XUS by KSI N3XUS 7 Twitch Team Lead If any of you reading this article have ever planned a massive party or a big event you know the struggles and the stress entailed with getting all of your metaphorical ducks in a row, especially when there are so many ducks to manage. This event was the first that I had personally planned and managed and even though we hit 22% of $2500 goal we had a lot of fun and activity in stream, but it wasn’t all just me behind the scenes and this is what this article is for. There were a lot of inside influences and some outside influences that helped us reach our goals that I want to take some time to recognize here today. Our outside helpers come in the form of some awesome streamers from Twitch that have built their own follower communities for quite a while. The first one is a Partnered Streamer that I have personally followed for almost 3 years, who makes her living off of her stream, and keeps up with her Subs and Followers to an awesome point (just don't ask for push-ups). I am going at our channel like I’m starting a new one, and every bit of help no matter how small goes a long way. So Echoics, on behalf of KSI and the Twitch Team, I want to thank you for taking time to help us with our stream by hosting us during our charity stream. Check out Echo here: https://www.twitch.tv/echoics There is also one other streamer that deserves an honorable mention. FransKiss helped get the word out about the event across her follower base on social media and we would also like to thank you for this. Check out Fran here: https://www.twitch.tv/franskiss Help like this isn’t to be taken likely or for granted. These two were using the channels they build daily to help ours out. Now internally we had a massive influence from within this community. With all the effort DoubleOh and I put into this event, with marketing and spreading the word.. One leader really rose to the occasion calling to his division to flood the chat. For this I personally would like to give a huge shout out to KSI Huckleberry 7 and all those from his division that came to hang out. Lastly I want to give a shout out to all of the streamers that planned out their weekends to do their part and stream. You all did an awesome job and were super flexible. From here, there is only good things to come from the Twitch team, so let's keep the hype up. A New Type Of Leadership Training
News Team Writer
KSI ZEUSWRATH7 and his team have been working hard to give out a new set of leadership classes to members in KSI.
There are 5 seperate classes;
-Choose the right people
-Make sure they understand their role
-Building and listening skills
Those are only Level 1 of the course. Additionally, Zeus is also preparing a second level and set of classes for those who want to go even further and learn more!
This isn't like any other class or workshop where you simply attend, listen, and learn. KSI ZEUSWRATH 7 pushes his attendees to their potential. Each class consists of alot of detail and teaching, thus, students are expected to take notes.
After each class, Zeus would issue homework assignments. Many of which were follow-up questions to ensure that students were taking correct notes. By talking to others that participated, I can see that nobody had an issue with doing any extra so-called homework.
At the end of the course, a final test with 10 questions would be issued. Students have 24-hours to turn it in. Fortunately, I was given the opportunity to assist KSI ZEUSWRATH 7, KSI 1NSAN1TY, and KSI Ezekiel UD in discussing and marking these question papers.
Those who got over 60% were passed on the course. Those who got under 60% were spoken to about where they can go to retake the course and learn from their mistakes. Every attendee passed the course. Additionally, instead of simply giving a % and saying well done, we have back what questions the attendees got wrong and what the correct answer was.
From what I got to see of the course, everyone participating benefited. Whether it be the students being taught, the Co-Teachers assisting, or me watching. We all learned some valuable information.
“I joined this training because Zeus believed in me and thought I would make a good leader”, said KSI HedgeHog.
“I came to a random training done by Zeus that turned into this, but I did it because I wanted to learn more about leadership and KSI.”, said KSI SunlKitty.
The upside of Zavala’s class was it wasn't just any old class where the students pay no attention and take nothing from it. The students that I spoke with gave me some insight into what they took away from the class. KSI HedgeHog stated, “I learned it takes more than just energy and basic skill set to be a great leader - it takes vision and motivation as well as listening to your lower comrades and the ones that are above you, in order for you to become a great leader.”
When asked if they feel more confident as a leader in their squad after this training, KSI Martidodgers stated, “I do feel a bit more confident in my squad, because we don't all have the answers to everything in life, but I can take the stories or situations that other members in this class had and the way they resolved it and maybe use it in my squad to resolve the issues I have.”
This course allowed members to feel good about themselves and inspired to grow as leaders. Overall, it went well, everyone passed, had fun, and learned a lot. I highly recommend KSI ZEUSWRATH 7’s training to anyone willing to learn. Congratulations to everyone who took part and good luck to anyone in the future.
The next set of classes are due to start sometime in the next few weeks.
