Alright, guys, PubG was released on Xbox One as a game preview on December 12th, and there has been a lot of comparisons between it and Fortnite. I am here to give my opinion on both and compare the two. Both Fortnite and PubG are great games, but there are a couple of differences between the two that can make a difference in which game you prefer.
So, talking about PubG, it has been a long awaited game for Xbox One gamers, and I have to say it is a little different than most games in regards to controls. The controls seem a little sluggish, but what can you expect from a game that is currently in a Beta stage for the console. One thing they do have is the ability to add attachments to the guns you pick up, I like the ability to add a scope and barrel to an assault rifle. There are also vehicles around the map that you can use to get yourself to locations faster. As it is only a 30fps game, unless you are on the Xbox One X in which case it is 60fps, it may not be the best in terms in regards to graphics. I do think it is a great game, but it has a couple quirks that need to be adjusted especially the controls.
Now when comparing Fortnite to PubG, there are a couple of differences that make each game unique in their own aspects. In Fortnite, you have the ability to build yourself cover and give yourself or your team an edge over the opposition. In PubG, you have to use the cover you can find, so you must be more careful when you are running around collecting loot. PubG on the other hand, allows you to have a scope, while in Fortnite you must have a sniper or marksman rifle in scope. In Fortnite you have rarities which determine the damage, but comparing that to PubG, some guns cause more DPS than others.
All said and done, I think both are great games but are played with different mindsets and tactics. With PubG, I see it being more tactical. When do I look from the cover? Do I use single shot or full auto? With Fortnite, I see it being more strategic. Do I build a little base here? Do I pick this fight? Granted both games are strategic and tactical, I see one leaning a little more to one side than the other. Keep in mind this is all opinionated so don’t count one game out completely based solely on my opinion.
